How to fill PDF form
- Choose a fillable PDF form.
- Type into the highlighted fields on each page, or switch to List to fill every field in one column (handy on phones).
- Optionally tick Flatten so the answers can't be changed.
- Click Save filled PDF, then sign it if it needs a signature.

Should I flatten the form?
Leave fields editable when someone else still needs to complete their part, or when you may correct an answer later. Flatten when sending the final copy: answers become part of the page, display the same in every app, and can't be accidentally changed by the recipient — but they also can't be extracted automatically by form-processing software, so if the recipient asked for a fillable PDF back, don't flatten.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Everything happens with JavaScript inside your browser tab — the file is never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
Why can't I see any fields?
The PDF probably has no real form fields — it's a flat form or a scan. Use Add text to PDF to type on it instead.
Will my answers show up in other PDF readers?
Yes. We write the values and regenerate each field's appearance, so Chrome, Edge, Preview, Acrobat and phone viewers all show them.
Can I fill a password-protected form?
Yes, if you know its password: you'll be asked for it, the file is unlocked on your device, and the filled copy is saved without a password.
Are calculations and scripts supported?
No — form JavaScript (auto-totals, validation) doesn't run here. Type calculated totals yourself.
