How to crop PDF
- Choose a PDF.
- Drag the box (or its handles) on the preview, type margins in mm or inches, or click Auto-trim whitespace.
- Pick which pages to crop — all, this one or a range like 2-5 — or tick Auto-trim each page for pages with different layouts.
- Click Crop PDF and download.
How PDF cropping works
A PDF page has several boxes (ISO 32000 §14.11.2). The MediaBox is the full sheet; the CropBox is the part viewers display. We set the CropBox to your selection and, with "change the page size" on, the MediaBox, TrimBox, BleedBox and ArtBox too — so printers and every app agree on the new size.
Content outside the crop is hidden, not deleted. That keeps the file lossless (text stays sharp and selectable), but it means cropping isn't a way to remove sensitive information.

Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Everything happens with JavaScript inside your browser tab — the file is never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
Can I crop just one page?
Yes — choose "Only page N" or type a range such as 3 or 2-4.
Does cropping reduce the file size?
Usually not, because hidden content stays in the file. To shrink it, run Compress PDF afterwards.
My pages are different sizes. What happens?
The crop box is applied proportionally to each page. For pages with different layouts, tick Auto-trim each page so every page is trimmed to its own content.
Can I undo a crop later?
Yes, in principle: since nothing is deleted, a PDF editor that lets you reset the CropBox/MediaBox can restore the full page. Keep your original just in case.
